A milestone for Left Hand Red yesterday – at last night’s rehearsal, we completed our first new song since I joined back in April. It brings the song tally up to 12 (although we agreed one of those needs a bit more work). The ever-prolific Dan has enough lyrics for an entire rock career, so it’s up to the rest of us to provide the backing.
The name of the song is Clockwork, and it’s best described as epic disco-punk, although that still doesn’t describe it very well. One thing’s for sure – it rocks! It’s a definite for future live sets.
Hurrah! The new, improved Left Hand Red website is now up! It’s by no means perfect, and I’m sure I’ll be making plenty of tweaks in the coming days/weeks, but it’s certainly doing the job.
I’ve been having a few FTP problems, so some of the images in the photo gallery are missing, but apart from that it’s all there. An eightyone.co.uk redesign on the cards perhaps…?
Here’s a snapshot:
At last I met little Max! He’s possibly the hairiest baby I’ve seen (although I haven’t really seen many babies so young), but he’s a handsome little chap never-the-less.
Here’s a picture of Max, being held by his Auntie Jane.
Well, still not got around to redeveloping the site in to my own (hopefully) pretty design. It’s been a while now, but I want to take my time over it, and I’ve promised to redevelop the Left Hand Red site, which I suppose I should do first. While it’s a little on the ‘functional impersonal’ side, I suppose it’s doing the job for now, but I promise to replace it with something with my own special touch!
Due to various holidays and Russell’s incoming wedding/honeymoon in August, we’re having a couple of little breaks from rock’n’roll, but we shall be back in full force in September – just you wait!
A big hello to Max Stuart Leigh Mackenzie who was born on Thursday 30th June, weighing 6lbs 13oz. Congratulations to his mum and dad, Kirsty (Jane’s sister) and Stuart!
