Today at work I recorded an interview with psychology author and lecturer, Jamie Ward. He was being interviewed on the subject of cognitive neuroscience for the inaugral show of what we hope will become a regular podcast. Jamie was a natural speaker, being a lecturer, and we have some excellent responses to the questions, which will be edited in to a show that I expect will be about 20-25 minutes long.
I supplied my own gear for the recording, and we set up an ad-hoc studio in a small office at the top of our building in Palmeira Mansions based around my trusty Powerbook. Paul supplied a mic stand, but much to my amusement, the rest of the equipment fit in to my rucksack and laptop bag (pictured). The set-up included:
- Apple Powerbook
- Behringer mixer
- dbx compressor
- Condenser microphone
- Headphones
- Assortment of leads, plugs and what-nots
